Reef Alarm is our planned way to receive reports of reef damage and marine pollution. Your observations can help us understand where attention may be needed.

A useful report includes

• The location and date of your observation.
• A clear description of what you saw.
• A photograph, if you can take one safely.
• Optional contact details if you would like us to follow up.

Your safety comes first

Do not enter unsafe water, touch unknown substances, confront people or disturb wildlife to collect evidence. This is not an emergency service. For an urgent danger, contact the appropriate local emergency or environmental authority.

What happens to a report?

Reports will be reviewed by authorised Save Nemo staff, not published automatically. Before this service launches, we will explain its privacy, storage and retention arrangements.
